King of the Coast

Race Information:

Depending on wind direction the race will commence from Moffat Headland (SE'ly wind) or from Marcoola SLSC (NE'ly wind).

The course will be approximately 18klms long from Moffats and 21klms from Marcoola to Mooloolaba Outrigging club.

Race date is 24th January 2010 Kicking off with Female SUPs at 1.10pm and KOTC Male ski away at 2pm (QLD time). 14 categories in total check programme for your briefing and start time. This time of start may differ depending upon wind conditions and starting point. Information we will endeavour to deliver by text so please add mobile numbers to registration and/or check website for updates.

The race will be open to all ocean craft specifically Ocean racing skis, Paddleboards, SLSC spec skis, OCI's and Stand up boards.

Competitors must wear a leg rope attaching themselves to their craft. It is also recommended that paddlers consider attaching a hand held flare to their craft and attaching or wearing a PDF. Leg ropes are available for sale through either Oceanpaddler.com or should you need to purchase one prior to the race commencing we will have some at the race briefing for purchase.

Final Club Day for 2009

Well with the final Noosa Heads Beach Boys Surfing Club Day done and dusted we looked back on a great start to 2009.

Drag Races, Time Trials, Teams Surfing, Surfing, Christmas Parties and Kids Christmas we were packed with things to do every month.

We look forward to next year with a Beach Boy Surfing event to kick off the year in February then another Beach Boy Surfing event in March to help get our club members ready for the Noosa Festival of Surfing.

Get ready for the 5km Paddle race held at the start of the week of the Noosa Festival of Surfing by taking part in the Wednesday Morning & Saturday Morning Paddle Fit Session. For more info check out Bluewater Players Black Board.

With a gathering of club members we hit it off with food and drinks.

Expression Session Wrap up

We had local we had Internation brands what we didn't have was the weather.

With over 40 boards to trial a few of the club members were in there eliminate trailing and changing boards over. In between rain showers and sun shine we got some great photos of the line up.

A big thanks to all the suppliers who gave up there Sunday to come and let us demo there boards.

New to Bluewater Players is also the Gerry Lopez range get in there and have a look - These boards were to most popular on the day.
